Clarke Engineering Services Unveils Expansion Plans
FISHERS, Ind. (Oct. 4, 2010) – Clarke Engineering Services today announced plans to expand its headquarters operations here, creating up to 29 new jobs by 2013.
The company, which specializes in equipment commissioning, installation, validation, line integration and project management services primarily for the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industries, will invest $2.1 million to purchase and equip a new 31,000 square-foot facility at 9100 Fall View Drive in Fishers.
“Today marks another boost for Indiana’s high-tech economy,” said Mitch Roob, Secretary of Commerce and chief executive officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “We are glad Clarke Engineering recognized the robust engineering and life sciences expertise within our state’s workforce and chose to keep this expansion in Indiana.”
Established in 1997, Clarke Engineering Services contracts with major global pharmaceutical companies and other local companies. The company, which has an additional office in Cincinnati, plans to begin hiring engineering and automation resources immediately in conjunction with the move to the new facility.
“We are excited to continue to expand Clarke Engineering Services and related subsidiaries here in the state of Indiana,” said Chris Clarke, president of Clarke Engineering Services. “Indiana and Fishers have provided us with a strong resource pool of competent and technical expertise which has been a cornerstone to our overall success. Coupled with our new larger facility in Fishers we will be able to continue to expand our high quality workforce and service offerings to our customers.”
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Clarke Engineering Services up to $300,000 in performance-based tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. The town of Fishers has approved additional property tax abatement.
“This is another great example of a high-tech engineering company choosing Fishers to expand in,” said Scott Faultless, Fishers Town Council president. “We look forward to the continued employment opportunities and the economic development that Clarke provides to our prospering community.”
Clarke Engineering Services is the latest central Indiana company to expand. Last month, technology firms Mobi Wireless Management and Bostech Corporation announced expansions resulting in a combined $3.6 million investment and more than 300 new jobs in Zionsville over the next four years.
